A 76-year-old Missouri woman who claimed she hadn’t “done anything wrong except drinking and driving” was arrested in Leesburg on a drunk driving charge.

Judy Faye Stoverink of Leasburg, Mo., was driving a beige 2012 Buick Enclave with Missouri license plates at about 11:30 p.m. Thursday on U.S. Hwy. 441 when her vehicle began weaving and swerving, according to an arrest report from the Leesburg Police Department.

During a traffic stop, the officer noticed that Stoverink had eyes that were “glassy, watery and bloodshot,” the report said. She admitted she’s had “too much” to drink. She provided breath samples that registered .155 and .150 blood alcohol content.

During the booking process, she began to protest her arrest.

“I haven’t done anything wrong except drinking and driving,” she said.

She was arrested on a charge of driving under the influence and booked at the Lake County Jail. She was released after posting $1,000 bond.
