Deborah “Debbie” J. Griffin, age 68, of Leesburg, FL was called to her heavenly home July 15, 2021 at the Ted & Diane Brandley House in Summerfield, FL.
Debbie was born in 1952 in Monterey, California to her parents Eugene M. and Alice S. Chandler, who preceded her in death. After graduating from high school, Debbie pursued her dream to become a Licensed Practical Nurse, as well as marrying and having two children.
Debbie spent her life selflessly caring for others. During her career as a Hospice nurse, she provided many families and coworkers support and well-being. Her kind heart, wisdom, and dedication touched many lives throughout her career with Cornerstone Hospice and Compassionate Care Hospice. She enjoyed spending free time with family and friends and was a devoted mother and grandmother. She will be missed by her family and all who knew her.
She is survived by her daughters: Paula Morelli and Leslie (Christopher) Brown; brothers: Steven Chandler and Jeffrey (Terri) Chandler; grandchildren: Santrel Morelli, Clayton (Alyssa Zawacki) Dwyer, Benito Toledo, and Anakarina Palomares-Morelli; great-grandchild: Emory Dwyer; nephews: Christopher (Stephanie) and Patrick (Becca) Chandler.
A Memorial Service to honor Debbie’s life will be held at Beyers Funeral Home in Umatilla, FL on Saturday, July 31, 2021 at 1:00pm with Rev. Isaac Deas officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Marion County (3231 SW 34th Ave, Ocala, FL 34474).
