Daniel Lawrence Sullivan, Jr. of Leesburg (by way of Ohio, Virginia, and California), having recently celebrated his 85th birthday, left this earth peacefully on Monday July 12th to meet his maker.
Army veteran and computer system specialist for the Department of Defense at the Pentagon, he was known for his lively political discussions and his love of international travel, able to make a friend wherever he went.
He leaves behind his devoted wife Brenda of 45 years (Leesburg); 5 children: Daniel Sullivan (Tina) of Virginia, Nancy Sullivan of California, Sean Sullivan of California, Jessica (Don) Tison of Lady Lake, Jennifer (Jay) Kessinger of Tallahassee; 6 grandchildren, who were all are especially fond of his grandfatherly enthusiastic smile: Devin Alessi of Washington DC, Logan Kessinger of Tallahassee, Maxton Alessi of California, Shaelin Sullivan of California, Liam Sullivan of California, Kendall Kessinger of Tallahassee; and several close friends that he also considered family.
A viewing will be held at Beyers Funeral Home in Leesburg on Thursday July 22, 2021 from 5-7pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Paul’s Catholic Church, Leesburg on Friday July 23, 2021 beginning at 10am. Mask wearing is preferred for those attending services. In lieu of flowers, please send donations in Dan’s name to Cornerstone Hospice, The Villages.
