Lance E. Raybould (78) of Leesburg, FL passed away at Health Central Hospital in Ocoee, FL on July 9, 2021. He was born September 15, 1942 in Marietta, OH.
Lance is survived by his wife of 57 years, Sallie Slate Raybould; his sons, Edward Raybould (Michelle) of Marietta, OH and Matthew Raybould (Brenda) of Jacksonville, FL; his step grandchildren, Matthew Bolen and Christopher Cook; his sister, Ann Nealis Fekkos; along with nieces, nephews and cousins. Lance was a graduate of Marietta High School and attended Ohio University. He worked in the plastics industry in companies such as Union Carbide and Gulf Oil and made his way to superintendent of Chevron Chemical. He served the Marietta area as a volunteer fireman in the Oak Grove Fire Department. Lance loved guns and marksman competitions. He was a member of the Fort Harmer Gun Club and his expertise won him several marksman target tournaments. He will certainly be remembered for his storytelling. One wasn’t always sure that the facts were true but he created word pictures not soon forgotten. That talent made him an incredible joke teller which he loved to do.
