Lake County Commission will hold special meeting in chairman’s home district

Sean Parks

The Lake County Board of County Commissioners is hosting a series of meetings in each Commission district throughout the coming months. The next meeting will be for District 2, which is represented by Commission Chairman Sean Parks. It will be held June 24 at 1 p.m. at the Clermont City Center, located at 620 W. Montrose St. in Clermont. The meetings will not be live streamed, and the public is encouraged to attend. The first meeting was held May 3 in District 1, which is represented by Commissioner Doug Shields.

The District 2 meeting will focus on the Board’s short-term strategic plan as well as long-term items within a five to 10-year time frame. Chairman Parks will then offer the floor to the other Commissioners.

Meeting details for Districts 3, 4 and 5 will be provided at a later date, though they will take place in their respective districts.

For more information on the meetings, contact Niki Booth at nbooth@lakecountyfl.gov or (352) 343-9888.
