Leesburg woman jailed after alleged knife attack at Pilot Travel Center

A Leesburg woman was jailed on $50,000 bond after an alleged knife attack at the Pilot Travel Center in Wildwood.

Constance Monroe, 30, was arrested on a charge of aggravated battery after allegedly stabbing a man in the neck while he was working in the dish room of the restaurant, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office.

She was caught on surveillance placing an item in the trash can behind the Pilot gas station, the report said. A knife was retrieved from the trash can.
