A woman was arrested after leaving a motel parking lot in Leesburg.
Chelsey Allyn Hensley, 21, of Leesburg was at the wheel of a black GMC SUV on Monday night when she failed to come to a complete stop before pulling out of the parking lot of the Lee Motel, according to an arrest report from the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.
She would not consent to a search of her vehicle, so a K-9 unit was summoned to the scene. The dog alerted on the SUV, indicating the likely presence of narcotics. A deputy searched Hensley’s purse and found a syringe containing methamphetamine.
Hensley was arrested on a charge of possession of methamphetamine. She was booked at the Lake County Jail and released after posting $2,000 bond.
