Frances L. Justison (85) of Leesburg, FL passed away at the Mayfield Retirement Center in Leesburg on May 18, 2021. She was born August 17, 1935 in Leesburg, FL.

Frances is survived by her children, Leigh Ann Justison of San Diego, CA and Ty Justison of Fruitland Park, FL. She was also blessed with grandchildren Sandra Torre (Jon), Steven Harrison (Carly), Lindsey Holt (Jonathan) and Trey Justison along with great grandchildren Maia, Emma and Poppy. She was preceded in death by her dear husband of 59 years, Wayne Justison.

Frances was born and raised in Leesburg. She met her husband, Wayne, while attending Leesburg High School and they married shortly after graduation. She was an avid boater within the Leesburg Yacht Club and enjoyed many weekend boat trips with her family. She loved to golf and excelled as a member of the Silver Lake Golf and Country Club where she won the women’s championship golf tournament several times.

Frances was an enthusiastic card player and never met a game of bridge she didn’t like.

While raising her family, Frances was the bookkeeper for the family businesses, Justison’s Worm Farm and Justison’s Angelfish Farm. Frances later made her mark on the community in real estate. She was a member of the Lake County and Leesburg Board of Realtors for years.

Frances was a genuine lady who knew no strangers and could easily be found in any gathering by following the laughter. She walked into a room and it lit up with her presence. She had a quick wit and loved to make others laugh. Frances left a loving mark on her family and community and will be dearly missed by all.

Her family would like to express their deepest gratitude to Mayfield Assisted Living and Companion Care Hospice for the outstanding care they provided her during her last few weeks on earth. Their kindness and compassion comforted the family during this challenging time.

A celebration of her life will happen at a later date to be determined.
