Betty Lou Boulware Tyre, 91, passed away April 4, 2021.

She was born on March 19, 1930 to David and Hattie Boulware in Hanes, South Carolina. Betty was one of eight children, who all preceded her in death. She moved to Lake County in 1946 and graduated from Leesburg High School Class of 1947.

Betty worked for many years at First State Bank in Eustis and then for Attorney Frank Gaylord. She was a member of LifePointe Church/First Baptist Church of Eustis, joining in 1947. She was an active member there singing in the choir and serving in many different capacities.

Betty is also preceded in death by her husband, James B. Tyre, III; son, Robert Glenn Tyre and daughter, Susan Tyre Harris. She is survived by her son, Jimmy (Beverly) Tyre of Eustis, along with 5 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at Harden/Pauli Funeral Home Chapel, Eustis of Thursday, April 15, 2021 at 6:00 PM. Flowers will be accepted or in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made in her name to Cornerstone Hospice, 2445 Lane Park Road, Tavares, Florida 32778.
