Gayle Marlow Teerman, 92, of Leesburg, passed away Saturday, March 20, 2021.

Born in Hudsonville, Michigan, he moved to Leesburg, Florida in 1997 from Davie, Florida. He was Senior Management in the manufacturing industry, with his job he traveled the world. He spent many years volunteering for SCORE helping entrepreneurs start and grow their business. He was always active in the communities and received numerous awards, also he ran for many political offices and worked on numerous campaigns including Barry Goldwater and Bobby Kennedy. He taught school in the intercity of Detroit in the early 1960’s and substitute taught in Florida in the late 1990’s. He loved to play and watch the game of golf, and was a member Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, Leesburg, Florida.

Gayle is survived by his 2 sons, John (Vicki) Teerman, Arlington, TN, William Teerman, Fort Lauderdale, FL; 2 daughters, Nancy Enlow, Pinckney, MI, Sally Turner, Brighton, MI; brother, Lloyd Teerman, Grandville, MI; 4 grandchildren (Tony, Heather, Joshua and David) and 6 great-grandchildren (Anthony, Chad, Jessica, Stephanie, Judah and Micah) and preceded in death by his loving wife Mary J. Teerman. Besides his family he leaves behind a “family” of friends at his favorite donut shop. Gayle will be laid to rest in the Gloria Dei Lutheran Church Columbarium.
