Mozella “Moe” Rimes Allen, 89, of Leesburg, transitioned from labor to reward on Sunday, February 21, 2021.
Mozella was born on March 30, 1931 in Lake City, Florida. She was employed in both Baker and Lake County during her career as a bus driver. She was also a certified beautician in Lake County. Mozella devoted her life to serving God and her church. She was an active and faithful member of St. Stephen AME Church, Leesburg for over 60 years. Moe had a heart of gold and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She leaves to cherish her memories five children: Gwendolyn (Charles) Allen-Carston, Wynona (Michael) Cunningham, Maurice (Vanessa) Allen, Gerald Allen, Fredrick (Gail) Allen; 3 siblings; and a host of other relatives and many friends. A walk through visitation will be held on Friday from 4-6PM at St. Stephen AME Church, 302 Church Street, Leesburg. A service of celebration will be held on Saturday at 2PM, Liberty Church of God, 1201 Baker Street, Leesburg with Pastor Woodrow Leeks, II, officiating. Interment: Evergreen Cemetery, Leesburg.
