Donna Lyons departed from her loving family on Feb. 17, 2021 at the age of 79.
She was born in Chicago, Ill. on Dec.26, 1941 to Ira and Marie Gibbs. She married her best friend and sweetheart Tom Lyons on May 7, 1960.
Donna was mother to Thomas III, Richard and Timothy. She raised her boys with a heart full of love. She was a great cook and prepared many traditional family meals.
Camping became a family pastime and the way most family vacations were taken. When all the boys were in school, Donna went back to work. In 1976 the family moved from Cicero, Ill. to Cassleberry, Fl. As the boys became adults and got married, the family grew. As of Feb. 17, 2021 Donna was a grandmother to 11 adult grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren ages 2 years to 19 years. We will miss her and forever keep her in all of our hearts.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 23 at 10:00 at St. Paul Catholic Church in Leesburg. Interment will follow at Lone Oak Cemetery, also in Leesburg.
