George Wilson Boone

George Boone

George Wilson Boone passed away February 15, 2021.

He was born on September 15, 1946 in Seaboard, NC to the late Arthur and Blanche Boone. He was the youngest of 9 children, 2 sisters and 6 brothers whom all preceded him in death. He spent his early childhood years in Seaboard, NC until he made the trip to New York City in the 1960s. George was a cross country truck driver for over 30 years and is a member of the Teamsters Union.

He married Dr. Ann Miller in May 1968 and to this union 5 children were born; Gerrilynne “Kubbi” Boone (Fresh Meadows, NY), Georgielle “Kitten” Boone (Fresh Meadow, NY) (fraternal twins), Ammon Wilson (Renee) Boone (Macungie, PA) and Aaron Ray Boone (NY, NY) (identical twins) and Jermain Miguel Boone (Medford, NY) the youngest.

During the 1970s George had some challenges in his life and the marriage was dissolved. George traveled around and lived in Chicago and then settled in Montclair and then later settled in Newark, NJ until he moved to Leesburg, Florida in 2001.

George was also able to overcome drug use and in 1994, he met his current wife Cathe, who was by his side when he transitioned. They have no children together however, Cathe’s children Allisen Mills and Brande Mills accepted him as their stepdad and their children called him Grandpa.

George leaves behind his 5 children, 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren from his first marriage, and a host of nieces and nephews who affectionally call him Uncle Beet. Like a daughter Nicki and adopted sons and daughters in New Jersey.

George will always be remembered for his love of westerns, truck driving and his no-nonsense wit. He would tell you where you could go and how fast you could get there, “Jack” He always wanted things done his way and that is how he lived his life.

To God be the Glory for the time we’ve had with him. He was loved.
