Randolph Manning

Randolph Manning, 82, of Leesburg, passed away Saturday, February 13, 2021.

Born in Pavo, Georgia to the late Ralph & Lena Mae (Storey) Manning, he joined the U.S. Army in1961 serving in Vietnam and retiring from the Medical Service Corps at the rank of Lieutenant Colonel in 1983. After a distinguished military career, he served as an Associate Dean of several Medical Schools including the Quillen Dishner College of Medicine, University of South Florida Medical School and the University of Central Florida Medical School.

Upon retirement, he moved to West Virginia where he was a member of the American Legion and the Lockbridge United Methodist Church, Meadow Bridge, WV where he was a Deacon and taught Sunday School. He maintained a second home in Leesburg, FL since 2011.

Randolph is survived by his wife of 58 years, Emma J. Manning, Leesburg, FL; 2 sons, Kenneth R. (Jennifer) Manning, Easton, KS, Kevin R. (Jenni) Manning, Victoria, Australia; daughter, Tina Marie Manning Rizzo, Tampa, FL; 10 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren ; and a whole mess of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his 8 brothers and sisters.

Services will be held in Hinton, West Virginia with interment at Gwinn Cemetery, Meadow Bridge, WV. In lieu of flowers please feel free to make a contribution to the Lockbridge United Methodist Church located at 6418 Lockbridge Rd, Meadow Bridge WVA 25976.
