George Thomas McCormick, 61, of Leesburg, FL, passed away December 28, 2020, at home. George was born October 26, 1959, in Cleveland, Ohio, to George Edward and Carolyn (Bibler) McCormick.
George had most recently worked at Century Link as a Support Analyst. He enjoyed playing softball, golf, taking his dog, Sansa, to the dog park and was an enthusiastic volunteer for the Humane Society of Lake County. George was an ardent Florida Gator fan and was known for his “Gator Van”.
George was preceded in death by his mother and is survived by his father, George Edward McCormick (Virginia) of Charlotte, NC, sisters Paula Woodward (Richard) of Tallahassee, FL, and Debra Blatt (Larry) of Chehalis, WA, and was the fun uncle to his many nieces and nephews.
A private graveside service will be held at a later date in Charlotte, NC.
