Lorraine Lenore Resnick

Lorraine Lenore Resnick, 94, Boca Raton, FL, formerly of Leesburg, Florida, passed away on December 23, 2020.

Lorraine was born on June 18, 1926 in New York City to her parents Maxwell Feiner and Adele (Mittleman) Feiner. Lorraine was a graduate of Queens College and had a decades-long career as a teacher in the New York City Public Schools and as Director of Castle Hill Day Camp in the Bronx. After her retirement from teaching, Lorraine and her late husband Harold moved from New York to Florida over 35 years ago. In Florida, Lorraine founded The Inverrary School in Lauderhill. She was a proud member of Hadassah, the United Federation of Teachers and Women’s American ORT. She loved interior design, art, working with theater arts groups at Coral Lakes in Boynton Beach and leading coloring groups for seniors in Leesburg and Boca Raton.

She is survived by her loving son Richard Resnick and his wife Naomi of Rockville MD; grandchildren Stacy (Kurt) Vanderhorst, Deborah Resnick, and Ilana (Jonathan) Seibald; great-grandchildren Maya and Leah Vanderhorst, and Matthew and Emily Seibald. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Resnick; daughter, Karen Martin; and three brothers, Arthur, Harold and Marvin Feiner.

In light of Covid, there will be a private funeral gravesite service at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family has suggested making a donation to the charity of your choice in her loving memory.
