Sammie C. Jenkins Sr. (90) of Leesburg, FL passed away at his home November 8, 2020. He was born January 29, 1930 in Marianna, FL.
Sam is survived by his children, Tonja Kellar and Sammie C. Jenkins, Jr. He was also blessed with 4 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his dear wife of 60 years, Dorothy A. Jenkins, his parents and his brothers Delton Jenkins and Alton Jenkins.
Sam was a member at New Life Assembly of God Church in Fruitland Park, FL. He also served his community as a member of the Masonic Lodge and the Shriners. He was multi-talented which reflected in his vocations. He was a realtor for a time, worked for many years for Metropolitan Life as an insurance agent and then worked for the State of Florida as a right-of-way specialist (administrating highways, roads and billboards) along with other created positions just for him.
A memorial service will occur at a later date to be determined.
