Therapy dog reading sessions coming to Leesburg Library, Lake Square Mall

Therapy dog reading sessions for residents are coming to Leesburg Public Library and Lake Square Mall.

The sessions will be hosted by Pet-Assisted Visitation Volunteer Services (PAWS), an organization that offers a chance for people of all ages to read to and engage with dogs in a therapeutic setting.

The Leesburg Public Library will host their “Reader of the Pack” series on Thursday, Nov. 5, at the library (100 E Main Street) starting at 3 p.m. All ages are invited to participate by registering for a 30-minute session with a certified PAWS animal.

Registration and face coverings are required. Family and friends may register for a single session for a maximum of six people to read to and pet the dogs.

For more information on this and other events, visit the Leesburg Public Library website.

Lake Square Mall will host their PAWS Therapy reading sessions on the second Saturday of every month at the Books-a-Million at Lake Square Mall (10401 US Hwy 441) from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.

For more information on this and other events at the mall, visit the Lake Square Mall website.
