The Quilting Sisters Guild of Leesburg will host a “Quilt of Valor” award ceremony for local veterans later this fall.
The ceremony will take place on Wednesday, Nov. 11 at the Leesburg Veterans Memorial (404 North Blvd E) at 2 p.m.
The volunteers comprising the group are known as the Quilting Sisters of Florida QOV Group #16064. They provide quilts to thank local veterans to provide them with comfort and healing.
The local chapter is a part of the Quilts of Valor Foundation, a non-profit organization that operates chapters throughout the United States. For more information, visit the Quilts of Valor Foundation website.
