No new local COVID-19 deaths were reported Saturday but Leesburg added four new cases for a total of 1,192.
Lake County is now reporting 7,262 cases – an increase of 42 from Friday to Saturday – among 3,341 men, 3,744 women, 51 non-residents and 126 people listed as unknown. A total of 563 cases have been reported in long-term care centers and 247 in correctional facilities. There have been 169 deaths and 537 people treated in area hospitals.
In addition to the cases in Leesburg, others in Lake County have been identified in Clermont (1,813), Tavares (730), Mount Dora (574), Eustis (569), Groveland (504), Lady Lake (288), Mascotte (228), Minneola (205), Sorrento (162), Umatilla (149), Fruitland Park (143), Montverde (112), Grand Island (73), Astatula (60), Howey-in-the-Hills (46), The Villages (32), Yalaha (32), Astor (31), Altoona (28), Paisley (26), Okahumpka (16), Ferndale (5) and Mount Plymouth (3).

A total of 1,417 cases also have been reported among inmates (1,318) and staff members (99) at Lowell Correctional Institution and Marion Correctional Institution.
All told, Florida is reporting 681,233 COVID-19 cases – an increase of 3,573 from Friday to Saturday. Of those, 673,194 are residents.
