A Leesburg police officer was forced to protect a man from a woman who threatened to “kill” him after he allegedly forced a 5-year-old girl to perform oral sex on him.
The officer was called Tuesday to a home in the 1000 block of Georgia Avenue where the little girl’s mother told a 911 dispatcher that “the officer needed to respond quickly” before she killed the suspect, according to an arrest report from the Leesburg Police Department.
When the officer arrived on the scene, a woman pointed to a vehicle where 26-year-old Joshua Leon Redmond Dudley was hiding. The officer had to give several loud commands before Dudley crawled out of the car and said he feared he was, “Going away for a long time. I shouldn’t have done that.”
There were several individuals nearby who threatened to do physical harm to Dudley, so the officer put him in the back of his patrol car to try to “de-escalate” the situation.
The little girl told the police officer that Dudley, known by the nickname “Boops,” had “pulled his pants down and put it in my mouth,” while they were in the laundry room of the home, according to the arrest report. She said she asked him to stop, “But he still did it.”
Dudley said he had been in the home’s living room where the girl approached him “and started talking sexual toward him.” He claimed the little girl helped him pull down his pants before they engaged in oral sex.
He was arrested on a charge of sexual battery of a child under the age of 12. He was booked at the Lake County Jail on $15,000 bond.
