Julio Bracaglia, 89, formerly of Leesburg, Florida passed away on August 17, 2020 at the Ted and Diane Brandley Hospice House in Summerfield, Florida.
Julio was born on November 2, 1930 in Frosinone, Italy to his parents Frank Bracaglia and Anna (Spazini) Bracaglia. Julio was a former Architectural Engineer at the Picatinny Arsenal in Morris County, New Jersey. He and his loving wife Elizabeth moved to Leesburg in 2008 from Dover, New Jersey. Julio was a proud U.S. Army Veteran who served during the Korean War.
He was of the Catholic faith and a Graduate of the State University of New York in Delhi, New York where he received his bachelor’s degree. He was a former member of the Knights of Columbus in Dover, New Jersey, The American Legion and was very active member at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Dover, New Jersey. Julio was a very active Dad with his two sons’ serving as an Assistant Scout leader and serving in many community events with sons’.
He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years: Elizabeth Bracaglia; two sons’: Paul Bracaglia and his wife Mindy of Frisco, TX and Michael Bracaglia and his fiancé Lia Kalman of Dunnellon, FL; a brother: Enrico Bracaglia of Netcong, NJ; two grandchildren: Alexandra and Jenna and a niece and a nephew. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
