Alfred Lewis Day

Alfred Lewis Day Jr., 74, of Leesburg Florida, passed away on the 29thh of July 2020.

He was born to parents, Alfred and Thelma Day, on July 3, 1946 in Jamestown New York. Alfred honorably served in the U.S. Army from Nov 1965 – Jan 1968. He fought bravely with the 1st Calvary Division during the Vietnam War. After returning home he continued his education and began a career in roadway design and construction.

He left behind his former wife and best friend Velma Bailey Day along with three children, Jessica, Alan and Edward. In addition, two wonderful daughters-in-law, Suzanne and Brooklyn and four amazing grandchildren, Rachel, Lydia, Piper and Samuel. Also his always faithful dachshund Schnitzel.

Alfred is known for his unmatched humor and ability to liven up any environment. His presence will forever be missed by all who knew and loved him.

The memorial service will be held on Friday, August 7, 2020 at 10:00 AM at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL.
