Thomas Emerson Lally, aged 93 of Leesburg, Florida (and formerly from St. Petersburg, FL) passed away at 6:50 am on July 28th. Mr. Lally was born on March 10, 1927 to Thomas A. Lally and Elizabeth Reymer. He was a marine and veteran of WWII and Korea. Mr. Lally received a degree in accounting from Duquesne University where he met his wife Colleen Martin. The couple was married for almost 60 years.
Thomas Lally was a CPA, and a finance executive for several companies including Goodwill Industries and AAA South. He was a long-time member of Rotary, a devout catholic, active in his church and a Knight of Columbus. After retiring, Mr. Lally moved joined the Fraternal Order of Eagles where he served as Secretary for 20 years.
Colleen Lally and Steven Lally preceded Mr. Lally in death. Tom Lally is survived by his three sisters, Dorothy Cunningham, Shirley Lally and Betty Ann Kotto all of Pittsburgh, PA.; three surviving children, Mary Beth Workman of Roswell, GA; Tom Lally of Arlington, TX and Barbara Howe of St. Petersburg, FL; and three grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, July 31 at 8:30 am at St. Paul Catholic Church, Leesburg, FL Burial will take place on Monday, August 3, 2020 at 10:30am at Florida National Cemetery.
