Leesburg police nab three men suspected of home invasion robbery

Leesburg police officers arrested three men early Monday morning who are accused of committing a home invasion robbery.

An officer located a vehicle believed to be involved in the crime and performed a traffic stop near Lake-Sumter State College. Two suspects fled from the vehicle but other officers arrived and they were able to take 18-year-old Jeremiah Webber, 20-year-old Kameron McNair and 20-year-old Javon Hill into custody, a Leesburg Police report states.

Officers searched the vehicle and recovered several items from the earlier robbery, including a handgun that was reported stolen from Eustis. Webber, McNair and Hill were then transported to the Lake County Jail.

Webber, who lives at 209 W. Badger Ave. in Eustis, was charged with home invasion robbery and a previous charge of lewd and lascivious behavior. He was being held on $10,000 bond and is due in court July 6 at 8:30 a.m.

Leesburg Police officers recovered this gun Monday when they stopped suspects believed to be involved in a home invasion robbery. The gun had been reported stolen in Eustis.

McNair, who lives at 1230 E. Jackson Ave. in Mount Dora, was charged with robbery/residential home invasion with a firearm or other deadly weapon. He was being held on no bond and also is due in court July 6 at 8:30 a.m.

Hill, who resides at 5633 Terrell Rd. in Tangerine, was charged with home invasion/robbery with a firearm or deadly weapon. His bond also was revoked on previous charges of stalking and criminal mischief. He is being held on no bond and is due in court June 23 and July 6.
