Paul Anthoney Lyles

A man accused of videoing a woman changing clothes at a Kohl’s department store is out on bond.

Paul Anthoney Lyles, 26, was arrested late Saturday morning by Lake County sheriff’s deputies in Tavares. He was booked into the Lake County Jail a short time later and charged with the sex offense of voyeurism. Lyles, who listed his occupation as dishwasher and sales, was released Sunday morning on $5,000 bond and is due in a Lake County courtroom on Aug. 6 at 8 a.m. to answer to the charge.

Lyles is accused of going into the Kohl’s at 2700 E Burleigh Blvd. in Tavares on Monday, July 15 and using his phone to film a woman who was trying on bras and underwear. He had been seen entering the store and walking directly into the woman’s changing room in the intimate section, a sheriff’s office report states.

Paul Anthoney Lyles was arrested this past Saturday after being accused of videoing a woman changing clothes in the dressing room at the Kohl’s in Tavares.

Lyles was found in the handicapped changing stall and was confronted by a loss prevention officer and manager. He quickly ran out of the dressing room and then fled the store in a red SUV. But the loss prevention officer was able to obtain clear photos of him that were then posted on various law enforcement Facebook pages prior to Lyles’ arrest.

Lyles, who lives at 80 N Central Ave. in Umatilla, is no stranger to the Lake County legal system, having been held in the jail 10 times since January 2012. During those arrests, he’s faced charges of possession of marijuana not more than 20 grams, battery, criminal mischief, trespassing after warning, exposure of sexual organs, criminal contempt of court and failure to appear in court, as well several probation violations, jail records show.
