The Lake County Board of County Commissioners is inviting the public to attend fiscal year 2020 budget workshops, beginning this month.

The first of a series of budget workshops are scheduled for 9 a.m. on Tuesday, April 9 inside the Board Chambers, located on the second floor of the County Administration Building, 315 W. Main St. in Tavares.

As future workshops are scheduled, they will appear on the Lake County Board of County Commissioners’ meeting agendas and will be publicly noticed. To view board meetings live, click HERE.

The fiscal year of Lake County’s annual budget is Oct. 1 through Sept. 30. The Office of Management & Budget is charged with accounting for and managing public funds appropriately and openly, recommending effective and efficient financial plans, and ensuring adequate funding is available to carry forward programs as directed by the Board of County Commissioners.
