A woman was arrested with methamphetamine after a traffic stop Wednesday night in Lady Lake. The car’s driver was also arrested.
The car had been traveling at 9:30 p.m. on U.S. Hwy. 27/441 when a traffic stop was initiated after it was noticed that the vehicle did not have a visible registration, according to an arrest report from the Lady Lake Police Department.
A passenger in the back set of the vehicle, 32-year-old Ashley Lynn Powers, of Mount Dora, was found to have a syringe which contained methamphetamine, the report said. The Michigan native was also found to be in possession of a glass pipe and marijuana.
The driver of the car, 34-year-old Edward Cole, of Leesburg, was found to be driving on a suspended license.
Cole and Powers were taken into custody and booked at the Lake County Jail.
