Cashier at Villages Wal-Mart arrested on charge of loitering in Mount Dora

A cashier at a Villages Wal-Mart was arrested early Sunday morning on a charge of loitering in Mount Dora.

Kiera Nyajia Cooper, 19, of Leesburg, was in a car at about 2 a.m. at the Oakwood Apartments, according to an arrest report from the Mount Dora Police Department. A 22-year-old male who was also in the car fled on foot when it was approached by police.

Cooper told police she and the man had been “just talking” while parked at the apartment complex, at which neither one of them reside.

Cooper was arrested on a charge of loitering. She was booked at the Lake County Jail and released after posting $500 bond.
