Village of Santo Domingo resident arrested with drug paraphernalia

A Village of Santo Domingo resident was arrested with drug paraphernalia after running a stop sign in Leesburg.

William Bryan Parsons, 57, who lives at 1510 Aquino Lane, had been at the wheel of a GMC Sierra at 1:45 p.m. Wednesday when he was pulled over by a Lake County sheriff’s deputy.

A K-9 alerted on the vehicle, indicating the likely presence of drugs.

A plastic bag containing the residue of methamphetamine was found in Parsons’ pocket and a smoking device which also had residue on it was found in a tool bag on the floor of the vehicle, according to an arrest report.

Parsons was arrested on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia and booked at the Lake County Jail. He was released after posting $500 bond.
